In 2005, WebMD Professional Publishing decided to split the unified online "entrance" in two medical libraries into two separate ones - one for
ACS Surgery (the official textbook of the American College of Surgeons), and the other one for
ACP Medicine (the official textbook of the American College of Surgeons), as well as split out much of the information that was
linked previously in multiple links from the
2004 home page and move it to separate secondary informational sites for "
visitors" (one each for ACPM and ACS).
In addition, the subscribers-only online medical library has been completely overhauled and redesigned, featuring a stronger, more cleanly organized design with CSS-based tab navigation systems, allowing for easy toggling between table of contents, keyword search and drug reference, as well as other improvements of user experience.
